Briefings
The Portuguese government delayed the release of the 2025-2026 salary prize application forms despite the deadline approaching, leaving young workers awaiting clarification on eligibility and payment. While the 2024 period saw successful submissions, the 2025-2026 window remains closed, with the government citing budgetary concerns and a shift in criteria to exclude those receiving the young worker tax credit. The parliamentary committee has approved a law to ensure the prize is paid and remains cumulative with the young worker tax credit, pending final approval in November.
