Briefings
A Ceagesp moved 124 merchants from a 6,000 m² MFE-A pavilion to a 4,800 m² temporary structure on October 16, 2026, due to a fire between September 5 and 6. The temporary site is 20 meters away from the original building, with demolition of the old structure scheduled for 60 days. The fire occurred at night on September 5 and early morning on September 6, with the temporary space expected to remain until September 2027. The fire caused a 50% drop in sales according to the merchants' commission, and the temporary site is currently considered unsanitary due to heat and rain exposure.
