Briefings

Insta360 launched a budget alternative to its Mic Pro wireless microphone system, reducing price from $329.99 to $249.99 while removing built-in color E Ink screens and a full microphone array. The new device uses smaller screenless transmitters and omits the charging case, positioning it as a mid-tier option between the Mic Pro and the Mic Air. This update targets content creators seeking cost savings without sacrificing core audio functionality.

Key points

• Insta360 reduced the price of its wireless microphone system from $329.99 to $249.99 by removing the built-in color E Ink screens and microphone array.
• The new Insta360 Mic uses smaller screenless transmitters and omits the charging case, positioning it as a mid-tier option between the Mic Pro and the Mic Air.

Context

Insta360 previously launched the Mic Pro system in May 2025, which featured built-in color E Ink screens for custom branding and an array of three microphones to emulate different pickup patterns. This new budget alternative skips several features that many content creators might not miss, offering a more affordable alternative to the full-featured Mic Pro.

Limitations

The evidence covers only the price reduction and hardware changes from the Mic Pro to the new Insta360 Mic. It does not specify the exact audio quality differences, microphone pickup patterns, or battery life improvements. The article source is unverified and the full story link is external.
