Briefings
Lumen Technologies announced three initiatives: an AI networking pilot with Emerald AI to route workloads based on power availability, research into quantum connectivity with The Ohio State University, and the integration of Fortinet post-quantum cryptography into its SASE solution. The AI pilot aims to shift AI inference to locations with available energy, while quantum research focuses on long-range optical networking and distributed sensing. Initial PQC availability is targeted for November 2026.
