Briefings

André Ventura, president of the Chega party, presented 600 proposals to the 2027 State Budget, demanding a reduction in retirement age, a frozen pension increase, and a drop from 23% to 13% fuel VAT. He criticized the current government for an artificial budget, noting housing measures cost 227 million euros. Ventura argued that lowering fuel VAT compensates for high fuel costs and questioned whether the fuel tax (ISP) should be reduced, claiming it is artificial. He emphasized that housing and cost-of-living measures are linked to the rent law.
