Briefings

NVIDIA has removed the RTX 5080 16GB from its official marketplace, with rumors confirming its discontinuation alongside the discontinued RTX 5090. The company plans to introduce a new RTX 5080 24GB model in early 2027, utilizing the same GPU die as the current 16GB version. This upgrade will primarily increase VRAM capacity rather than performance, as the die is already fully utilized. Availability may be limited due to high demand, potentially causing stock depletion at original MSRP prices.

• The 24GB version will use the same GPU die as the current 16GB model, offering only increased VRAM capacity.
