Briefings
A century-old paper mill in Témiscaming, Quebec, has been indefinitely closed following the US imposition of 50% tariffs on its products, resulting in hundreds of jobs lost. The mill's closure is directly linked to the new trade policy, which has halted production and forced workers to find new employment elsewhere. The situation remains unresolved as the mill's future is tied to ongoing trade negotiations.
