Briefings
A digital publication named Prison Agenda launched in January 2026 to report on Turkey's prison system, revealing that as of September 1, 2025, the country holds 419,194 individuals in prisons, exceeding official capacity and causing immense strain. The project was supported by the Digital Spark grant scheme and aims to make data accessible to the public, though it remains unclear if this bilingual expansion will sustain long-term reach.
