Briefings

Uber executives disclosed in an earnings call on November 4, 2026 that only four rides were arranged by third-party AI agents during the third quarter of 2026. This represents a significant drop from previous expectations, with the company noting that AI agents are not yet stealing lunch. The volume of AI-arranged rides was around 500 during the week of Halloween, which is a tiny fraction of the total 320 million Uber rides and Uber Eats deliveries. This marks the first time Uber has publicly disclosed the specific number of third-party AI agents operating on its platform.
