Briefings

Brazil expanded its agricultural market access to Bangladesh and Colombia by finalizing sanitary agreements allowing genetic bovine and bupalo genetic material and pet food products. This move increased Brazil's total market openings to 721 since January 2023, driven by cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Bangladesh imports over US$2.66 billion from Brazilian agro-products in 2025, while Colombia's imports from Brazil exceeded US$873 million in 2025, primarily in coffee and forest products.
