Elon Musk stated that Starlink speed limits in Ukraine fall under U.S. administration control rather than SpaceX, citing Trump's administration as the decision-maker despite Musk's commercial service distinction. Ukrainian officials report restored 160 km/h connectivity after military disruptions, though operational status remains unverified. Zelensky urged NATO to continue arms supplies while criticizing U.S. information sharing, amid ongoing Russian drone attacks and U.S. military equipment exchanges.

Key points

• Elon Musk attributed Starlink speed restrictions in Ukraine to the U.S. administration, not SpaceX, stating limits are decided by U.S. military and the President.
• Ukrainian sources reported restored 160 km/h Starlink connectivity after military disruptions caused by speed limits, though operational status remains unverified.

Context

Ukraine faces critical Starlink connectivity issues affecting military drone operations, with Musk clarifying U.S. control over speed limits. Zelensky criticized U.S. information sharing while demanding NATO arms supplies continue despite recent Russian drone attacks.

Limitations

Limited evidence on whether Trump administration directly ordered speed restrictions; operational status of Starlink terminals remains unverified; Zelensky's statements about U.S. information sharing lack direct confirmation.
