Briefings
The ANAC awarded licenses to SPdH/Menzies Aviation Portugal for handling services at Lisbon, Porto, and Faro airports, ending a public bidding process that previously saw the Spanish consortium Clece/South win. Menzies acquired 50.1% of SPdH in June 2024 and completed the remaining 49.9% purchase from TAP for a nominal euro price, resulting in a premium profit for the group. Licenses cover baggage and ground operations at Lisbon and Porto, plus cargo and mail handling at Lisbon and Porto, with a seven-year validity period.
